Part of a group of negatives taken for August 29, 1965, Arkansas Gazette article "The Lebanon Church - A Memorial to Faith," E5:1. The Lebanon Presbyterian Church, a one-room log building, was organized in 1852 east of Lynn, Lawrence County, Arkansas along Arkansas State Highway 25 (1994.3, 1994.4, 1994.6). Moved in the 1940s due to Highway 25 construction, the church was bought and moved back next to the cemetery (1994.1, 1994.2) by the Old Cemetery Association in 1953. Marker reads, "The Lebanon Presbyterian Church: organized May 30, 1852 A.D., by Rev. Samuel J. Baird, Missionary. Charter members: James Blackwell & Elizabeth Melissa, his wife. Benjamin Blackwell and Elizabeth H., his wife. Sarah M. Blackwell. Anthony Cazort & Mary Ann, his wife. Lusene Cazort, their daughter. Burgess Thomason. Eliza Anderson. James H. Johnson & Elizabeth, his wife."
